I can’t explain the feeling that comes over me when author copies arrive. It’s a moment I wait a year for, and sometimes much longer. Getting the SALT & STONE hardcover was especially exciting because of the new, jazzy cover. There also may be something in the acknowledgements that made me emotional to see in its finished format. I teared up seeing the Kirkus Review on the front cover, the mountains on the back, and the black and white interior that matches the first book perfectly. And yes, the hardcover spines match wonderfully for your library.

Before I launch too much more into the wonderful job the team at Scholastic did, I’ll get to the good stuff. Pictures! Only two and half more weeks, guys. And then Pandoras and Guy Chambers and the Brimstone Bleed will be in a bookstore near you!
