I’ve finally recovered from North Texas Teen Book Festival, which by the way, was amazing! The author dinner on Friday night was legit, the festival giant (3,500 teens, y’all), and the after party ridiculously fun. I sat on panels with authors I’ve admired for years. Authors like Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Nova Ren Suma, Jessica Brody and many more. At night, I mostly hung out with Julie Kawaga, April Genevieve Tucholke, and Adi Alsaid. Three people who know how to stay up late, if you know what I mean.
I don’t know what I mean. But Julie pulled quarters out of thin air (sorcerer!), Adi insisted we light something on fire (his writing is fun-loving, but don’t be fooled), and April continually talked us into doing crazy things, while backing out herself at the last minute every time.
The cherry on the top of this event was learning that The Liberator had been bought by Random House for publication in Germany! I can’t wait to hold this translated book in my hands, you guys. And because I’m still on a high from the festival, and jazzed about this newest development…I’m doing a giveaway. US only, unfortunately. But rest assured Dante Walker loves you no matter where you live. 😉
