The ALA (short for American Library Association) Midwinter Meeting starts this Friday. It’ll be my first time hitting one of these events and I couldn’t be more jazzed. Yeah, I said “jazzed.” Since I’m turning thirty in a few weeks, I feel it’s my God-given-right to suddenly use old-person words. But enough about my brittle bones and sudden love of Luby’s, I’m going to ALA. Granted, I may need a walker to get around, but come hell or high water, I’ll be there. *shakes old person fist*

In case you’ll be in D-town for the 4-day circus, here’s the official website. More importantly, here’s the list of authors you can meet there. But let’s be honest, the real reason people attend these things is for the free ARCs (Advanced Readers’ Copies). I once saw a pic of the ARC’s this one chick got at a single ALA event and nearly had a stroke (remember, I’m old and fragile).

So in recap, I will be at ALA this weekend. I will be carrying multiple bags to capitalize on this free ARCs business. If you don’t hear from me again, it’s because I got arrested for stealing said ARCs that were not in fact, free. Or I died of old age. Either are very real possibilities.

***Side bar: If you’re in Dallas this weekend, make sure you check out the Teen Shiver Author signing at the Dallas B&N!
